Tips for knowing how to adapt your choice of orientation to your profile
The most important criterion to take into account during your post-baccalaureate orientation is the suitability of the field in which you want to continue your profile.
To do this, you will have to start by establishing an assessment of your different skills and your areas of improvement. Next, you'll need to do a thorough research on the in-demand skills in the areas you're really interested in so you can compare them with what you already have.
You can of course decide to continue in a field that you are passionate about even if you are not particularly good at it, but what can be dangerous is to embark on a field where you have serious shortcomings. For example, it would be strongly discouraged for a student who dislikes math and finds it difficult to understand it to pursue a career in engineering.
Do not hesitate to seek advice from people working in different fields or from students who have already started higher education in order to better inform you about what could await you if you decide to pursue the same course as them.
The post-baccalaureate orientation period is certainly a very stressful period for any bachelor, but you should know that whatever your choice, nothing is fixed yet. This first step only allows you to define your field of study and you will still have the possibility of choosing precisely what to direct your career towards later, when choosing the sector.
However, the most important thing will be to make sure you don't let yourself be influenced by someone else and choose an area that you are particularly interested in or even passionate about!
