We're here to help make the process of study in Hungary a little easier. The admissions process may be different than what you are used to, so please consult the university you are applying to if you have specific questions. Meanwhile, take the following steps to get started:

Choose a plan

The best universities in Hungary and choose the degree program that suits you. Select the level of courses you are looking for (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) and your field of study. Note that you may be required to take a skills test or additional language lessons. Start by choosing the degree program that is right for you. Whether you are an undergraduate or a graduate student, degrees are available in a variety of fields.

Entry requirements

Depending on the university, specific documents may be required. Always refer to the university website for specific admission requirements and contact the appropriate university office with any questions.

Apply for a visa

If you are not from an EU/EEA country, start the visa application process as soon as possible after being admitted to a Hungarian university, because the process can take one to three months and many important documents are required, don't wait. A student visa must be applied for at a Hungarian embassy or consulate before leaving the country. Documents Required for Hungarian Student Visa:

Admission letter from the university where you have been accepted
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
Proof of residence in Hungary
Proof of health insurance
Proof that you have sufficient funds to cover living expenses during your studies
Visa application form
When you arrive in Hungary, you must apply for your residence permit within 15 days. This is required even if you are an EU/EEA resident.
