Popular and long-running online-based role-play video game franchise RuneScape is coming to tabletop gaming, with two brand new games due to launch later this year. Video game developer and publisher of RuneScape, Jagex, has collaborated with the powerhouse of tabletop gaming Steamforged Games to create both games for the tabletop and a board gaming book for roleplaying games inspired by RuneScape's vast fantasy setting of Gielinor.

The two games are set to debut in 2022 when the board game being launched in Kickstarter along with the TTRPG going straight to retail. The games will take inspiration from places, characters, and adventures from RuneScape's long and rich heritage of more than 21 years. the board game accommodating between 5 and 1 player on quest-based adventures through Gielinor.

They will craft and upgrade equipment, train their characters, cook special recipes, engage with NPCs and test their talents while exploring different regions around the world. They will also encounter a variety of enticing side quests designed to divert and keep them entertained on the route.

The TTRPG will be an exquisitely illustrated hardback book that contains rules for players to run a RuneScape tabletop roleplaying game, where they are able to create themselves characters and discover Gielinor and design unique and exciting quests. The RS goldG books's core is completely compatible with fifth edition ruleset of the roleplaying tabletop game.
