What is the classification of 3D printing?

FDM
FDM is to heat and melt the filamentous hot-melt material, and at the same time, under the control of the computer, the three-dimensional nozzle selectively coats the material on the worktable according to the cross-sectional profile information, and forms a layer of cross-section after rapid cooling. After the formation of one layer is completed, the machine table is lowered by a height and then the next layer is formed until the entire solid shape is formed. There are many kinds of molding materials, and the molding parts have high strength and high precision, and are mainly suitable for molding small plastic parts.

SLA
It uses a laser to selectively polymerize and harden the liquid photosensitive resin that needs to be molded, so as to shape. There are two main categories of SLA, one is printed from the bottom up. The other is printed from top to bottom.

SLS
Similar to SLA, SLS uses a laser. Unlike SLA, SLS does not use liquid photosensitive resin, but powder. The energy of the laser heats the powder and sinters adjacent powders together.

DLP
DLP laser forming technology is similar to SLA stereolithography technology, but it uses a high-resolution digital light processor (DLP) projector to cure the liquid photopolymer, and the light curing is carried out layer by layer. Slide-like sheet-like curing, thus faster than comparable SLA stereolithography techniques. The technology has high forming precision.
