ACNH Update: Animal Crossing in October, Halloween and Co.

The beginning of autumn on our island is now a little behind. The landscape in Animal Crossing New Horizons (ACNH) already changed in September. The lush green is a little less lush, but it is now more often a little windy, maybe even a little more rain falls.

The beginning of autumn on our island is now a little behind. The landscape in Animal Crossing New Horizons bells (ACNH) already changed in September. The lush green is a little less lush, but it is now more often a little windy, maybe even a little more rain falls. Of course, that doesn't change the year-round mood in your little island paradise. What is changing, however, are the flora and fauna, and a few great events are on the agenda!

After we were allowed to compete in the last insecticus tournament for this year in September, we can at least fully rely on the fishy fishing. There will be one last fishing tournament before the season is finally over and the wet fun won't continue until icy January (at the big spring fishing tournament). So next Saturday, October 8th, it's time to swing your fishing rod again!

Also, Halloween is probably the funniest and at the same time ... scariest event of the calendar year. Surely Jakob, the prince of Halloween has already announced himself to you with his letter. He would then like to greet his “pumpkin heads” on October 31st. Until then, you can sweeten your time with his present: the portrait of Jakob - it looks good in your Halloween party room. By the way, you should definitely stop by Nook's shop before the festival. There you can not only buy cool seasonal items with which you can decorate your island in a wonderfully scary way, there are also candies! The delicious orange sweets cost 120 bells, but be careful: you can only buy one candy per day and only in October!

Pull the pumpkin

Another fun thing in October is pulling pumpkins. After all, Halloween is also the pumpkin festival! You can also buy pumpkin seedlings in Nook's shop or from the gardener Gerd (if he visits your island on the fairground). If you plant them and ideally water them daily, you will soon be able to harvest your first pumpkin. The funny vegetables are available in four different colors. At random you will receive a pumpkin in orange, green, yellow or white. You can swap the pumpkins for great handicraft instructions later. Your roommates are also busy distributing instructions in October, so be nice to them and talk to them diligently.

At Tina and Sina you can get cool Halloween costumes, you can also swap body paints and contact lenses for Nook Miles - pretty cool too, right?

Halloween

On October 31st, at 5 p.m. - when it gets nice and dark - the time has come and Jakob visits you on your island. You can then give him all sorts of sweets and play pranks on your friends. So keep all sweets (don't nibble!). Incidentally, Halloween was introduced for the first time with the September update last year (more on this: ACNH Halloween).

ACNH update

October finally brings more information about the next Animal Crossing New Horizons November update. Nintendo had already announced to us that there would be a corresponding Direct Mini in Halloween month. When exactly has not yet been determined, but the new content should then also be presented. The barista pigeon Brewster and his museum cafe should await us in November. But that's certainly only part of the new update, so we can look forward to it!
