Historically, children of mixed races have been assigned to a single parent of the colour of preference. Early childhood educators have to find improved ways to support a healthy multi-ethnic and multiracial identity to develop it in children (Sue Sue, 2013). Programs need to be developed in order to find resources and work closely with the interethnic and interracial parents. At first, specific staff training programs have to precede the change.
