Amazon leverages its capabilities to benefit the communities where it operates, providing resources and tools to make it easier for its employees in operations to identify local needs, propose, and participate in the causes that are most important to them, through company donations and volunteer activities.

At the end of 2021, the Acts of Kindness program was launched in Smile Amazon Mexico (Acts of Kindness, in English) that has managed to support more than thirty organizations proposed by its employees in operations, such as homes for the elderly, institutions dedicated to health , help centers for children, young people and migrants, as well as associations of people with different abilities.

Thanks to this program, more than two million pesos were allocated, some of the beneficiary organizations in the center of the country were: 'Luz Azteca' Comprehensive Care for Senescence (CDMX) provides care and support to the elderly; SOS Children's Villages Mexico (CDMX) focuses on preventing the loss of family care in childhood through comprehensive programs for families in poverty, family violence and refugees; Casa de la Amistad (State of Mexico), helps children and young people with limited resources who suffer from cancer; Casa Hogar Villa Nolasco (CDMX), is in charge of the care and support of children and young people who are homeless or orphaned; Mexican Red Cross , with the 'My Safe University' program, carries out various prevention measures against Covid-19 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in CDMX; Awakenings Human Rights AC (State of Mexico), carries out activities to protect and promote human rights and the 2030 Agenda.

Francisco Meléndez, an employee of the Amazon delivery station located in the Gustavo A. Madero mayor's office in Mexico City, comments: “I am proud to know that, from Amazon, our solidarity actions add value to help our community, because gratitude should not remain in oneself, it must be expressed. Thanks to Amazon that gives us the tools to transform the lives of those who need it most, delivering smiles every day.”

For her part, Marisa Vano, Communications Leader for Amazon Latin American Operations, commented: “We are focused on being a great employer in Mexico because we know that providing good jobs is the first big step for the well-being of a community. In addition, we empower our employees, who are the heart of Amazon, to identify and nominate organizations to donate to and participate in volunteer activities in their community.” And she concluded: "There is still a lot to do, we are going to continue contributing to the well-being of the localities where we work."
