If you've had a mortgage application turned down, you're not alone. There are dozens of reasons why you've been declined, including a recent job change, a zero-hour contract, previous debt or errors on the mortgage application form. To improve your chances of approval, it is a good idea to speak with a mortgage broker. They can recommend the best course of action and tell you what you need to change before your application is accepted. If your application is rejected, the lender will notify you, either directly or through your mortgage broker. Other lenders may explain their reasons for rejection to you.
