Maple Leafs star AJ McCarron Jersey Mitch Marner was a victim of a carjacking Monday night in Etobicoke, a suburb of Toronto.

first reported an incident involving Marner getting robbed at gunpoint before the Maple Leafs confirmed it on Tuesday.

We can confirm Mitch Marner was the unfortunate victim of a carjacking in Etobicoke on Monday evening. He was unharmed in the incident and the Club Mitch are thankful for Toronto Police Services support. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Toronto Police Services.

According to a source who talked to the, Marner, 25, was on his way to go see a movie with a friend when "the guys approached wearing masks and said they wanted the vehicle. Mitch said, 'go ahead and take it."'

The source also said that "the suspects did not know it was Marner. They were only interested in the Range Rover, which they can quickly sell out of country."

Toronto police tweeted out a Ann Arbor Jersey report of a carjacking at The Queensway and Islington Avenue at 7:46 p.m. In the tweet, the police said that there were three a sailants, two who had handguns and one with a knife, who stole a black Range Rover.

Toronto Mayor John Tory sent this statement to the Sun about the incident:

"My initial reaction is how dare someone do that to anyone in our city. Violence against any resident is unacceptable and I know Toronto Police work incredibly hard to bring those responsible to justice. Im Matt Coleman III Jersey thankful no one was physically injured in this incident, according to police. I know the police are working right now to arrest the suspects in this case and have been working non-stop to crack down on carjackings a number of arrests were announced last week."

No arrests have been made.

Marner just finished up his sixth season with the Maple Leafs, as the club was eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs Syracuse Orange Jersey on Saturday night, falling to the of their first-round series.

The forward had35 goals and 62 a sists, good for 97 points in 72 games in the 2021-22 NHL season.
